<p>The electrical connector assembly includes at least one conductor (1) and at least one armour braid (3,7) around the conductor, which is in the form of a sleeve around which the braid is placed. The conductors (1) are placed within the sleeve. A transfer impedance of the armoured connection may be measured using an injection connector (25) and a measuring connector (29) at opposite ends of a test sample (8). The conductor braid (3), over-braids (7) and conductors (1) are threaded over the injection connector (25) at the generator end. At the other end the conductors (1) are bunched and taken through to an output conductor (16) while both braids are threaded over the measuring connector (29). Tinned copper rings (35,36,39) tightened by magnetostriction into knurled grooves (27,33,34) to act as clamps on both connectors.</p> |
