<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a carrier comprising a magnetic material coated with an acryl polymer and to obtain a carrier having a long life and fast rising for electrification by incorporating a metal salt of fatty acid into the carrier surface. CONSTITUTION: This carrier consists of a magnetic material coated with at least one of styrene polymer, acryl polymer and styrene-acryl copolymer and the carrier surface contains a metal salt of fatty acid. The carrier is produced by dissolving at least one of styrene polymer, acryl polymer and styrene-acryl copolymer in a proper solvent, applying the obtd. soln. on the surface of a magnetic material, and then vaporizing the solvent at desired temp. Further, a metal salt of fatty acid is added to the carrier by mixing or stirring under proper force. Or, the carrier is produced by dispersing a metal salt of fatty in the prepared soln. in a microscopic state, applying the soln. on the surface of the magnetic material, and vaporizing the solvent.</p> |
