A device which takes in all frames displayed on the screen of a TV receiver as still pictures, takes in sounds as necessary, and displays the still pictures and reproduces the sounds as necessary. A still picture from the video output terminal of a TV receiver is taken in, digitized, and recorded in a frame memory. The digitized still picture recorded in the frame memory is converted to an analog picture and supplied to the video input terminal of the TV receiver. This device can be also provided with a digital sound recording device which takes in sound signals from the sound output terminal of the TV receiver, digitizes them, records the digital signals in a sound memory, converts the recorded signal to analog signals, and supplies the analog sound signals to the sound input terminal of the TV receiver. In addition, this device can incorporate an external storage device on whose storage medium such as a flexible disk the still-picture data and sound data recorded in the memories are recorded. |
