PURPOSE:To stabilize an optical output by fixing a ferrule in which one end face and the other end face are polished to a slant face, and a vertical face, a slant face or a convex spherical face, respectively so that a light beam of a light emitting element is made incident on an end face of its slant face side. CONSTITUTION:A plug 6 of an optical connector is inserted from a tip opening part of a cap 11, and fitted into a split sleeve 10. Also, the tip face is allowed to adhere closely to a convex spherical face of the tip of a ferrule 9. In this case, the plug 6 and the ferrule 9 which are guided by the split sleeve 10 are butted concentrically with good reproducibility, and an optical fiber 7 and 8 of both of them are connected like one straight line. Subsequently, when an electric signal is sent to a light emitting element 1 and it is allowed to emit a light beam, its light beam is condensed by a lens 3 and made incident on the optical fiber 8 of the ferrule 9. In such a case, the reflected light from the incident end face does not return to the lens 3, therefore, no influence is exerted on the light emitting element 1. On the other hand, the light beam which is made on the optical fiber 8 is outputted without being lost by the optical fiber 7 which is installed on the same axis. |
