SPAWN OF BASIDIOMYCETES AND CULTURE OF BASIDIOMYCETES USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain spawn of a basidiomycete such as Flammulina velutipes or Lentinus edodes of early maturing phenotype to give a large amount of its fungal fruits of good quality with high storability in a shortened period of time, by liquid-culturing a basidiomycete, followed by solid culture. CONSTITUTION: A basidiomycete such as Lentinus edodes is subjected to liquid culture, then to solid culture to give its spawn. It is preferred that the basidiomycete is inoculated into to a usual solid medium and cultured under aerobic conditions.
