摘要

PURPOSE: To produce a diamond sintered compact having high strength and high wear resistance. CONSTITUTION: Diamond powder having 0.1-10μm particle diameter is prepd. and the surface of each particle of the diamond powder is coated with a sintering aid consisting of 0.01-40wt.% Pd and the balance at least one kind of iron family metal. The coated diamond powder is subjected to liq. phase sintering at high temp. and pressure to obtain the objective diamond sintered compact contg. 80-96vol.% diamond grains and having high strength and high wear resistance.
