PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stylus for identifying a user from a handwritten image. SOLUTION: This invention is relates to a stylus 6 to be used together with a digitizing table 3. The stylus 6 stores information for identifying the characteristic of the handwritten image of a user. Those characteristics are transmitted to a computer 4 when the user interfaces with the computer 4, and the computer 4 is used for identifying the handwritten image of the user.
