Said control device comprises a switching hollow body (2) wherein is coaxially arranged a cylindrical core (4) with the possibility of rotating about its longitudinal axis and axial displacement. The switching body (2) is coupled to a pulling lever (3) attached to a control cable linked to the gearshift lever and has two grooves, a transverse groove (5) and an axial groove (6) respectively, through which may slide the lever arm (1) fixed to the cylindrical core (2). The position of the lever arm (1) in one groove or the other, the transverse groove (5) or the axial groove (6), corresponds to the actuation of the gearshift in an automatic mode or a manual-electronic mode respectively, the axial displacement of the lever arm (1) causing the passage from an actuation mode to the other actuation mode.
