Electrochemical battery with conductive casing and annular electrodes

The battery includes a casing (1) which is mfd. of e.g. steel in the shape of the back of a clock, and contains two annular electrodes. The anode (5) is connected to the base (2) of the casing. The cathode (6) insulated from the cover (4) is connected via a conductor (11) to a contact pin (8) set in the cover with a glass bead (9). The electrodes lie flat over each other and the disc-shaped conductor is welded to the inner end of the contact pin.
