CONSTITUTION: For the information processor including a channel interface, a data compression part, a data buffer, a drive interface, etc., as basic functions and an extended function such as a library interface, a channel interface diagnosis 3 to a drive interface diagnosis 6 of the basic functions and a library diagnosis 7 of the extended function are individually taken to obtain diagnostic results. Further, when it is judged by error content judgement 10 that an error is detected only at the extended function although the basic functions are sound, error logging 15 and error reporting and display 15 are performed to start up the basic functions continuously, thereby evading the operation stop of the whole device due to an error in the extended function, an option function, etc. |
