PURPOSE: To obtain an induction current collector for a magnetic levitation train which can protect the collector including a current collecting coil when the malfunction of the coil is detected. CONSTITUTION: The induction current collector for a magnetic levitation train comprises a sensor coil 31 for outputting a detection signal Vq corresponding to the change of a magnetic flux formed by a current I flowing to a current collecting coil 11, and a protective circuit 32 for detecting a malfunction including at least a short-circuit of the collecting coil based on the detection signal and invalidating the coil in which the malfunction is detected to protect it.
