<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and sign having a rainbow color effect without using an artificial light source. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a display device and sign 12 having a rainbow color effect requires a transparent substrate 14 with a pattern 12 printed thereon using a four-color printing method. Also, a transparent back plate 16 with pigment printed thereon is pasted to the substrate 14 and formed into a thin layer, thereby positioning the pattern 12 between the substrate 14 and the back plate 16. In order to provide an additional visual effect as a sign, the selected part of the substrate 14 is formed like textile. In addition, a certain part of the pattern 12 is masked with opaque ink, and the part 20 of the mask layer is given flat appearance. Also, the remaining part of the mask layer keeps the rainbow color effect.</p> |
