<p>The invention relates to a control method and an electrically heated glass pane system suited for controlling input power switching to a resistive conducting layer of an optically transparent glass pane (7) including a resistive conducting layer, known in the art as a selective glass, in which method sinewave alternating current is fed through said resistive conducting layer of said glass pane (7). According to the invention, the input power switching to the glass pane is comprised of successive control cycles (T1) incorporating a desired number of independently controlled sinewave half-cycles (T2) of the alternating current, called power-on cycles, which start and stop at zero current and have an amplitude equal to the peak voltage of the alternating current supply, and of power-off cycles controlled to occur between said power-on cycles so that said control cycle (T1) always incorporates at least one power-off cycle.</p> |
