PURPOSE: To obtain a buffer material having excellent restoring properties for an impact deformation by filling a foaming material of ethylene-styrene copolymer in the skin part of a thermoplastic resin, and integrally bonding the skin to the foam. CONSTITUTION: In a buffer material, a thermoplastic resin having sufficient physical properties, rigidity, high elongation, and low compressive permanent distortion is so used as to perform excellent shape restoring properties for the impact of large deformation at the skin part. Such thermoplastic resin is blow-molded to form a boxlike skin. An ethylene-styrene copolymer containing a foaming agent is sealed in the cavity of the skin. Thereafter, it is thermally foamed by steam to rigidly bond the skin to the foam to obtain an integrated buffer material. |
