<p>This device (DT1, DT2) is fitted on an intermediate point of the control cable (C) which links the accelerator pedal (1) with the corresponding mechanism (2) of the engine carburettor. The device (DT1, DT2) includes a cylindrical main body (5) provided with a radial extension (E), a stem (7) partially housed in the main body (5), a spring (8) and a switch (9) made up of a movable contact (10) and two fixed contacts (11). The interior portion (22) of the stem (7) has a cylindrical contact-holder (32) which incorporates the movable contact (10), while the main body (5) includes the fixed contacts (11). The longitudinal stress on the sheath (4) of the cable (C) causes the stem (7) to move towards the interior of the main body (5), closing the switch (9).
