CONSTITUTION: In this portable terminal equipment 1 with a communication function provided with a pager function 17 and a portable telephone function 2 or at least the portable telephone function 2, a reception confirmation processing means for performing the confirmation informing (echo-back transmission) of a fact that calling data are received to a calling origin (a host station 4) which originated the calling data at the time of receiving the calling data for which a reception confirmation request (echo-back request instruction data) is specified by the pager function 17 is provided. Since the confirmation informing of the fact that the calling data is received is transmitted from the called portable terminal equipment 1 with the communication function after the calling data are originated from the calling origin, the calling origin can confirm that the calling data are transmitted to the portable terminal equipment 1 with the communication function of a calling destination.
