PURPOSE: To obtain a wide dynamic range with respect to an input signal by a low power supply voltage by connecting a voltage current conversion section and a current voltage conversion section in parallel with a same power supply of the limiter circuit. CONSTITUTION: An input conversion section 10 receives a video luminance signal as an input signal S1 and provides differential current outputs S8, S9 subject to voltage current conversion to a current loopback section 11. The loopback section 11 give respectively differential current outputs S10, S11 resulting from looping back the outputs S8, S9 to TRs Q16, Q15 of a limit conversion section 12. The control section 12 limits the outputs S10, S11 to a prescribed value and the differential outputs S12, S13 subject to current voltage conversion are outputted to an output section 13. The output section 13 shifts the level of the differential outputs S12, S13 to provide the differential outputs S6, S7. The conversion sections 10, 12 are connected in parallel with a power supply whose voltage is VCC in this way to obtain a wide dynamic range of the signal S1 under the low voltage VCC. |
