A filter device (10) comprises a rotating filter element (14) housed inside a casing (11). The filter element is formed from a filter cloth surrounding a perforated support tube. The casing and filter element separate an external region (16) connected to an inlet (20) for dirty liquid from an internal region (21) inside the tube for filtered liquid, so that dirty liquid is forced to flow through the cloth into the tube. The filter cloth circumference is greater than that of the support tube. |
