PURPOSE: To facilitate a fastening work for submarine cables, and to provide a fastening method for submarine cables having a tensile strength near to that of base material for wire. CONSTITUTION: To strengthen submarine cable fastening force, the end part of sheathing wire 2 is spread and opened, and this part is pickled. And it is inserted radially into a wedge type vessel 12 having fixing metal fittings in the upper part and having a hole for inserting a cable core 1 in the center part. Then molten solder is cast into the vessel to fix it, and the upper part of the vessel is covered with a lid and fixed. A submarine cable is fastened in this way. |
