FIELD: metrology of analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: gas to be metered is generated by acting by the minimum required excess of the respective concentrated liquid or gaseous reagent, and/or by external factor (heating, radiation treatment, etc.) on metered quantity of solid nonvolatile reagent limiting the mass of generated gas applied beforehand in the form of a solution with subsequent removal of solvent onto a thin layer of porous carrier, for example, paper from glass fibre; in this case the reaction takes place either beforehand in a sealed ampule which at metering is broken down in the flow of the gas-carrier, or directly in the gas flow.
