<p>PURPOSE: To easily manage the outer diameter and a tapered shape of a rotary drum and correctly mount/adjust a head, etc. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus has a rotary drum 3 with a magnetic head 2 loaded thereon and a fixed drum 5 having a lead 6 for regulating/guiding a magnetic tape 1 by a predetermined entering angle. An outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum 3 sliding with the tape 1 is constituted of a first and a second tapering parts 31 and 32 and a straight part 33 between the tapering parts 31 and 32. A diameter d1 of a lower end of the rotary drum 3 is smaller than a diameter d0 of the fixed drum 5, and a diameter d3 of an upper end of the rotary drum 3 is larger than the diameter d0 of the fixed drum 5. An outer diameter d2 of the straight part 33 can be measured simply and highly accurately at a constant position and also tapering anglesθ1 andθ3 of the tapering parts 31 and 32 can be measured based on the straight part 33. When the head 2 is to be mounted, a projecting amount, a posture, etc., of the head 2 can be adjusted based on the straight part 33 as a reference plane.</p> |
