PURPOSE: To eliminate the troublesomeness of consecutive preliminary warnings and erroneous recognition as failure by executing the display or nondisplay of a display means displaying a preliminary waning. CONSTITUTION: When the working rate of a photoreceptor drum 12 reaches a previously set life frequency LN1, a preliminary warning display LED for informing a user of the exchange period of a drum unit 120 flickers on an operation part. When an image forming device is not under a copying operation, the user can choose whether to continue a flickering display or not. Moreover, when the working rate of the drum 12 reaches a previously set life frequency LN2, the preliminary warning display LED for informing the user that the drum unit 120 is used to the limit is lighted as a warning display LED. Further, when the working rate of the drum 12 reaches a previously set life frequency LN3 and the image forming device is under the copying operation, the exchange of the drum unit 120 is displayed on a registered number display part on the operation part, after copying processing is completed, to inhibit the formation of an image. |
