PURPOSE:To provide a developing device which is constituted so that the toner concentration of two-component developer is easily and precisely obtained and fixedly maintained, which is suitably used for the surface of an image forming body faced upward and by which a color image forming device using the belt,, like image forming body is made compact. CONSTITUTION:This is the developing device constituted so that a stirring chamber and a developer supply chamber provided with a stirring member 6 and a developer supply member 3 are partitioned by a scraping member 5 and a half partition wall 9 leading to it so that the two-component developer falls in the developer supply chamber from the stirring chamber across the wall 9. Then, a gap between the device wall of the developer supply chamber and the wall 9 is set to be narrower in comparison with a gap between the wall 9 of the stirring chamber and the device wall. Besides, the narrow gap of the developer supply chamber is provided with the level sensor 10 of the developer. |
