A plastering and lining strip (18) for window stiles (8), door stiles or the like at the join with the plastering (46, 48) has the following features: a) the strip (18) comprises a base (20) which is provided on its reverse side with an adhesive strip (16) ; b) the lining strip (18) is provided with at least one ridge (22) which projects up away from the front (52) of the base (20) and runs along the length of the strip (18); and c) a lamellar protective cover plate (24) which is connected with the base (20) of the strip (18) via a narrow break-off bridge of material (44). The said plastering and lining strip (18) is characterized in that: d) the base (20) of the strip (18) is provided with a lamellar spacer extension (28) between the protective cover plate (24) and the ridge (22); e) the spacer extension (28) and the ridge (22) together form a hollow space (34) for the plaster with a substantially L-shaped cross-section; and f) the spacer extension (28) has such a reduced thickness at the extremity that the material of the strip is completely covered, or nearly so, when the plaster space is filled with plaster (48). |
