PURPOSE:To provide an inspecting device for a printed paper face wherein an operator can easily carry out control or the like of an ink amount by instructing a position different from a printed one at a reference time to an operator. CONSTITUTION:An inspecting device for a printed paper face 1 reads a reflected light qnantity for each pixel from a printed paper face with a sensor part 4. A CPU 2 displays a deviation between the reflected light quantity read from the printed paper face and a reference quantity stored in a reference value storage 6 as a graph. Further, it detects a failure generated on the printed paper face on the basis of the deviation from the reference value, and displays a detected failure position on a display part 7 by making that correspond to a column.
