This seeding machine is designed to sow plant seeds into a precise location onto the required growing surface. It consists of a transition surface in the form of a flat plate (5), which is designed to pick up the seeds from the supply trough (13 & 14), as it moves across the flat plate. The seeds are retained on the flat plate in fixed locations by means of a series of sticky points (6), which are provided on the surface of the flat plate. The flat plate is then pivoted about its lower edge (3) into a horizontal position, where the seeds are released by gravity to fall into the required position on the growing medium, held in the lower half of the machine. |
