PURPOSE:To prevent a deterioration in the surface of a piezoelectric sensor as a toner detecting sensor caused by its wearing by making a rotary cleaning member of a piece of wire composed of coil spring parts on both ends and a beam part connecting them and fitting the rotary cleaning member to the shaft of a toner carrying member in a normal direction. CONSTITUTION:The piezoelectric sensor 15 detecting the quantity of toner in a toner hopper 6 is attached to a sidewall opposite to a carrying screw 7 in the vicinity of a toner receiving port 14 and as the rotary cleaning member cleaning the sensor surface of the sensor 15, a wire member 18 capable of being fitted into the carrying screw 7 is provided. The wire member 18 is made of a piece of metal having elasticity and constituted of the coil spring parts on both ends of the member 18 and the beam part connecting the coil springs. In other words, the part, fitted to the carrying screw 7 of the wire member 18 is formed to a coil spring shape, so that even if the wire member 18 and the sensor surface of the sensor 15 approach each other by the extension, contraction and deformation of the coil spring part, the sensor surface can be sufficiently cleaned by the member 18. |
