PURPOSE:To provide a tongue assembly for a seat belt device capable of holding a child seat with sufficiently high tension and being utilized for restraining an occupant. CONSTITUTION:A shoulder belt 10B is inserted between a tongue main body 30 and a lock plate 44 from the slit 50 of the lock plate 44, and it is inserted into the first slit 40 of the tongue main body 30. It is further folded to the rear of a tongue assembly, and it is again extracted from the second slit 50 as a lap belt 10. When tension is applied to the belt 10, the lock plate 44 is pulled to the tongue main body 30 by this tension, and the belt 10 is held between the tongue main body 30 and the tongue plate 44. The seat belt 10 has free access to the second slit 50 through a notch. |
