<p>On top of the rail sleepers an elastic dampening element (6) is located. The rail is secured through clamps and bolt arrangements through the elastic layer to the sleeper. Over the area (14) immediately beneath the rail, the elastic material is of a more deformable nature than the material in the adjacent areas (15). Thus vertical movement of the rail is easier to obtain than lateral displacement which is resisted.</p> |
