PURPOSE:To provide an installing structure and a disk device which can respond easily to the reduction of the thickness of a carriage arm in particular, as to an installing structure and a disk device such as the structure installing a spring to hold a magnetic head to a carriage arm. CONSTITUTION:This installing structure is composed of an installing base 6 forming a sheet 14 in which a specific length of one side surface of the tip is made thinner; the first installing plate 5 to which the first spacer 7 with a specific length and a specific thickness is combined on one side surface; and the second installing plate 50 to which the second spacer 70 with the length shorter than the length of the first spacer 7 and with a specific thickness is combined. And a part of the first spacer 7 in the longitudinal direction is connected to the sheet part 14 of the installing base 6, while the other part of the first spacer 7 is connected opposing to the second spacer 70.
