PURPOSE:To automatically adjust the number of automatic ticket examining machines for exiting at a ticket examination gate according to the arrival of a train and maintain an optimum ticket examination state by changing the setting of the use direction of a specific dual-purpose machine on the basis of the detection signal from a train arrival detecting device. CONSTITUTION:An automatic ticket examining machine monitor device 5, once receiving the detection signal from the train arrival detecting device 3, requests specific automatic ticket examining machines 1 to change the setting of the use direction (for dual-purpose machines) and change the setting from a use stop state to a usable state (for dedicated machine for exiting) immediately or a specific time later in consideration of the time from the arrival of a train to the arrival of users at the ticket examination gate so as to increase the number of exit passages at the ticket examination gate. For example, a dual-purpose automatic ticket examining machine 1 which is set as a dedicated machine for entrance is changed into a machine for exiting. Then a reverse setting change request is sent to the automatic ticket examining machine 1 automatically a certain time after the detection signal indicating the arrival of the train is received. |
