<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate a false operation of detection of passenger in relation to a change in a dielectric constant due to moisture absorption of seat cushion. CONSTITUTION:Capacitance Cp formed between two electrodes 13 and 11 embedded in a seat is measured. Switches SW1 and SW2 are provided between electrodes 11, 12 and 13 and a detecting circuit and the state is switched over sequentially. Based on the time detected by connecting Cb and Cp, the time detected by connecting Ca and Cp and the time detected by connecting Ca and Cb, the Cp is determined by computation.</p> |
