摘要

PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for formation of oriented films and to form these oriented films in such a manner that the orientation characteristics thereof are equal to the orientation characteristics of oriented films subjected to high-temp. baking corresponding to respective layers like heretofore by necessitating execution of just one time of high-temp. baking at the time of forming plural layers of the oriented films. CONSTITUTION:A soluble UV curing type polyimide soln. or polyamic acid soln. is applied on the opposite side surfaces of a TFT substrate 1 and color filter substrate 6 to be stuck to each other to form the first layer films. The first layer films are subjected to irradiation with UV rays, etc., to form the first layer oriented film 3 or 8 consisting of the polyimide resin. The soluble UV curing type polyimide soln. or polyamic acid soln. is applied on the first layer oriented film 3 or 8 to form the second layer films. These films are heat treated to form both of the first layer oriented film 3 or 8 and the second layer films as the stable polyimide resin films. The second layer films are formed as the second layer oriented film 4 or 9. Different orientation regions are formed within one pixel by selectively removing the second layer oriented film 4 and 9.
