METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LOADS OF LINK BETWEEN BASE STATION AND CONTROL STATION IN CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for controlling loads of a link between a base station and a control station in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication system is provided to allocate a new call to a link having the least ATM cells based on link loads to a down link having large data transmission amount, when transceiving data besides an actual voice call on the link between the base station and the control station. CONSTITUTION: The first and second base station interface cards count ATM transceiving cells of each link(S1). A counted value is periodically reported to a corresponding network control module(S2). The network control module periodically receives link load related information from the first and second base station interface cards to update the received information in a link management database(S3). If a new call is requested, the network control module detects the generation of the new call(S4), and reads the load related information to confirm links having the least ATM cell transmission among links that are normal and have the number of ATM transceiving cells under a threshold(S5). And the network control modules allocates an ATM channel to the confirmed links to process traffic(S6).
