An electro-hydraulic clutch (3), operated by an electrically controlled valve (7) in the clutch control unit (5), connects engine (1) and gearbox (2). Operating pressure (Pa) derives (Ie) from a preset value (II), modified in a comparator/subtractor unit (13) by a signal (Ic) from a corrector (12). Acceleration (Gt) is evaluated (9), from a transmission shaft (8) speed sensor (6), as soon as clutch plates make contact. Values are passed every e.g. 5ms via a sampling unit (10) and a high-pass filter (11). The latter's output signal, representing the difference between the evaluated acceleration (Gt) and a threshold value (Go), passes to the corrector (12), which, using a correction factor, produces the correction signal (Ic). Threshold value and correction factor are both adjustable for particular operating conditions and driving styles. |
