<p>A method of analysing uncured concrete mixtures for underwater casting, whereby a given volume of an uncured concrete mixture is added to a given volume of water, and the liquid provided thereby is exposed to measurement of one or more of the parameters pH, electrical conductivity, and content of certain ingredients from the concrete mixture, such as Ca, Na, K, surfactants or other additives, which possibly are present in the form of ions, for determination of the resistance against scouring of the concrete mixture in water. A device for use in carrying out the method consists of an elongate container (1), preferably cylindrical, having at its bottom a first space (4) for water and having above this space a second space (5) for a concrete mixture, said second space (5) being delimited downwardly by a valve element (2) which can be opened in order to let the mixture down into the water, said first space (4) being adapted to be charged with a given volume of water and the second space (5) being adapted to be charged with a given volume of concrete. At least one flow disturbing element (3) which lets the concrete mixture through may be provided below the valve element (2), in order to simulate reinforcement in the casting mould.</p> |
