PURPOSE: To produce a thermoplastic fiber reinforced molded product having a metal membrane on at least one surface thereof. CONSTITUTION: A first thermoplastic resin is applied to at least one surface of a fiber mat core and a metal membrane is subsequently adapted to at least one surface of the substrate consisting of the fiber mat core and the thermoplastic resin and the whole is molded, pref., subjected to compression molding under heating and pressure to form a completed product. A second thermoplastic resin may be applied to at least one surface of the whole wherein the fiber mat core is combined with the thermoplastic resin. The first and/or second thermoplastic resins may be in a membrane form or a molten form.
