Height adjustment mechanism for vehicle seat

The height adjustment system has toothed segments (14) permitting independent front and rear height adjustment. The segments are coupled together via a linkage mechanism (16) which limits the horizontal angle of inclination. The level of the leading seat edge cannot be brought below the level of the rear seat edge on switching off the electrically powered drive. The linkage mechanism is joined to the seat support (10) by a holder (17) working with a guide slot (21).
