WINDOW GLASS CARRIER FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To easily and surely stick a window glass to the window glass attaching opening part of a car body moving on a car body carrier line. CONSTITUTION:A window glass attaching device 5 to travel synchronously with a car body V is supported by a carrier truck 4 located on the upper part of a car body carrier line Lb. An adsorbtive pad 50 to adsorb the window glass is supported so as to be adjustable in position i.n directions shown by arrows d-d', e e' and f-f' in the lower part of an elevating base 25 supported elevatably in the direction of c-c' by the window glass attaching device 5 through an elevating motor 27. The elevating motor 27 is made to display a fixed torque on a load detected by a load cell 35 for acting upward force to support the weight of the window glass. Thus a worker can adjust the vertical position of the windglass by a slight force.
