Engine exhaust gas temp. detection system using lambda probe

The temp. measuring system uses an electrically heated lambda probe (104), with temp. regulation for maintaining the probe at a constant temp., the exhaust gas temp. (TAbg) calculated from the required electrical power (P). Pref. the temp. is determined from the required electrical power for the lambda probe at a defined exhaust gas flowrate, or from the electrical power, the measured engine revs, the detected throttle opening and/or the air intake pressure downstream of the throttle (118).
