A steriliser for sterilising e.g. knives, cleavers using a stream of water or other cleaning liquid which is arranged to spray accross the article to be sterilised; the spray is at a predetermined temperature and is arranged to impinge with a scrubbing action on the article; the steriliser may be used alone or with handwashing apparatus; the liquid supply to both the steriliser and the handwashing apparatus is arranged to be switched on automatically when an article to be cleaned is inserted and switched off automatically when the article is withdrawn. |
