PURPOSE:To obtain biodegradable staple fibers which have high heat resistance, and cause no troubles of environmental destruction because they are gradually biodegraded to finally disappear in natural environment. CONSTITUTION:This fiber consisting of polylactic acid and/or a thermoplastic resin in which the main component is this polymer, has more than 2.0g/d of strength, 20% or less of elongation, less than 30% of dry heat shrinkage and 120 to 200 deg.C of melting point. |
