PURPOSE:To obtain a capsule of herb medicine having excellent elutlon properties, not requiring precise control of blending time free from reduction in elution properties caused by excessive blending following enlargement of scale in mixing in production of a capsule of herb medicine. CONSTITUTION:A herb medicine is extracted with an extracting solvent, optlonally concentrated and dried to give essence powder, which is compressed and ground to give particles. The particles are mixed with magnesium stearate and polyethylene glycol to give essence powder of herb medicine, which is packed into capsules to provide production method of essence powder of herb medicine. The amount of magnesium stearate added is 0.01-5%, preferably 0.1-1.0% based on the whole composition. The polyethylene glycol has 4,000-20,000 molecular weight and the amount of the polyethylene glycol added is 0.01-5%, preferably 0.5-2% based on the whole composition. |
