PURPOSE:To provide a method for realizing electric polarization with stabilized quality while allowing easy connection of the electrode of a piezoelectric ceramic without causing damage thereon and to provide an easy-to-handle polarization jig. CONSTITUTION:A thermally deformable conductive material having springiness, e.g. a shape memory alloy or a bimetal, is employed in a polarization jig 5. Since the temperature rises during electric polarization, when the polarization jig 5 is placed at a predetermined position of a piezoelectric ceramic 1 without contacting therewith, the polarization jig 5 thermally responds at a predetermined temperature in the direction being connected with an electrode 2 and then it is connected positively with the electrode 2 by the springiness of the material. Subsequently, a voltage is applied and when the temperature lowers after completion of electric polarization, the polarization jig 5 is separated from the electrode without slipping on the surface thereof and thereby the piezolectric and the electrode 2 are protected against damage. |
