PURPOSE: To provide an angle measuring device which can be easily assembled and setted, and by which the cost can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: A wheel aligning device for a car, measures an angle by using a light source 68 and a linear CCD 72. A mask 76 having a slit 78 is installed between the light source 68 and the linear CCD 72, and the light from the light source 68 is projected onto a face of the linear CCD 72 through the slit 78. The light source 68 and the linear CCD 72 are controlled by a microprocessor, which calculates the angle between the light source 68 and the linear CCD 72 on the basis of the output from the linear CCD 72. The positioning of the center of the image projected onto the linear CCD 72, is performed by the microprocessor which uses retrieval algorithm. The calibration data to the linear CCD 72, is stored in EEPROM. |
