The invention is directed to a jig for boring doweling holes into alignment with one another in two boards or the like to be connected with one another by dowels or pegs and adhesives or bonding, comprising a plate which can be placed upon the board to be drilled, said plate comprising at least one guide hole for a drill and an adjustable and removable stop.
