PURPOSE:To obtain a soft and bulky cloth by using a polyester filament containing specific fine particles as a sheath, entangling the sheath polyester filament with a polyester filament for core while over-feeding the sheath filament, false-twisting the obtained conjugate yarn and treating a cloth made of the yarn with an alkali. CONSTITUTION:A polyester filament having a slight denier unevenness in longitudinal direction and containing >=2wt.% of barium sulfate having an average particle diameter of <=1mum is used as a sheath and entangled with a polyester filament for core while over-feeding the sheath filament. The obtained conjugate yarn is false-twisted to obtain a false-twisted yarn having a double-layer structure holding a number of looped, curled or projected bent parts composed mainly of the sheath filament on the surface and/or in the inner part of the yarn. The finished yarn is twisted, woven in the form of a plain weave cloth and subjected to scouring, relaxation treatment and alkali-thinning treatment to obtain a cloth having >=500cut fluffs of <=5mm long per 1m of the yarn. |
