<p>PURPOSE:To improve a processing speed for reading out a bar code and the storage efficiency of valid bar code data by detecting dust data to be stored in a memory and preventing the storage of the dust data in the memory in respect to bar code reading method and device to be used for a terminal equipment such as a POS. CONSTITUTION:The brightness/darkness information of bar width is detected from a bar code 1, the detected brightness/darkness information is converted into binary information, and in the case of storing and outputting plural converted binary information, the stored contents are successively outputted from the one stored at first. If continuous binary information for the brightness/ darkness information of the bar code 1 is not alternative, the state is detected as error information, and when the error information is continuously detected, only the final data out of the continued binary information are stored and other data are controlled so as to be erased.</p> |
