Sensor for a motor vehicle

A sensor for a motor vehicle is explained which is designed in such a way that a casing material for covering an area in the vicinity of the connection section between a sensor element and line wires is formed by injection moulding a thermoplastic elastomer. The casing material is used to obtain, at a low cost, a simple and reliable seal in the region in the vicinity of the connection section between the sensor element and the line wires. Since the elastomer has the elasticity of rubber, a concentration of voltage does not occur in the region of the line wires even if the sensor is subjected to vibrations. Disconnection of the line wire can no longer occur as easily.
