<p>PURPOSE:To surely join one end part of a tread rubber to the other end part thereof in the state that one slant end face thereof is brought into close contact with the other slant end face thereof. CONSTITUTION:After one slant end face K1 of a tread rubber T and the other slant end face K2 thereof are brought into close contact with each other, a plurality of needles 30 are penetrated through the slant faces K1, K2. In this manner, a slight amount of rubber is pulled into one end part T1 or the other end part T2 while adhering around the tips of the needles 30 to form a plurality of projections. These projections function as rivets for joining the end part T1 to the end part T2 to surely join the end part T1 to the end part T2 of the tread rubber T.</p> |
